There were so many machines in the room that their soft beeping drowned out the breathing of the patient they were monitoring. Commander Lilliana Shepard, hero of the galaxy, the one who enabled them to win the war and drive back the Reapers, lay in the center of them all amidst a tangle of wires.

"Commander, I wondered if we could…." Kaidan Alenko stopped in his tracks at the scene that greeted him. Commander Shepard was leaning up against the side of the display shelf in the middle of her quarters, and Lieutenant James Vega stood just inches away with his hands on her hips. They were looking at him; Shepard with a mix of embarrassment and irritation, Vega with a glare of annoyance. Shepard attempted to break away from him, but Vega grabbed hold of her and planted a firm kiss on her lips. Then he released her, and turned to leave with a cocky grin on his face.

Liara gasped, she had never felt as close and as excited by somebody before whilst she lay next to Shepard without a care in the world. Saren was defeated and she had never been happier.
"Oh Shepard", she said. "I could lie here all evening".
"We can't", Shepard said whilst kissing Liara lovingly on her forehead.
"We are expected to attend the Commander's Dinner and as the Commander, I must go".
Liara huffed and looked up at Shepard with longing eyes, "Ok ok we must go I suppose. Tomorrow it will be just you and me again".
Liara softy kissed Shepard on the lips and watched her to walk away to the bathroom.

I'm sad to announce that I'm unofficially officially retired from Mass Effect fanfiction for the time being, and I'll tell you what I miss it a great deal but the spark isn't there. This is an old upload from Holiday Harbinger on tumblr in December 2014 holy shit okay my entire life got 180'd after I graduated college so my emotional state, living situation, and amount of free time is wildly different than it was when I was still active in the fandom but literally I do miss it.
But yes here's my gift to another tumblr user for the 2014 Holiday Harbinger, featuring Alex Shepard getting higher than Mt. Everest courtesy of Thane's mouth and as one user so eloquently put it, couch sized lips.
I'm hoping Mass Effect: Andromeda will bring with it some beautiful new inspiration. Cheers guys, I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.
